Our Story

Where it all started, and what the future holds.

1949
In 1949, E.V. Findley launched E.V. Findley & Sons Construction Company in Burrton, KS. Specializing in water, gas, and sewer pipeline systems, the company proudly served its surrounding towns and municipalities.
1968
As pipeline safety regulations emerged in 1968, E.V. Findley & Sons expanded its services, innovating to provide trailblazing compliance support–and E.V.’s daughter Earlene followed suit. Assisting the company with policy development and financial management, Earlene later married Robert Neuway, another member of the company, with whom she had two children: a daughter, Vergi, and a son, Michael.
1990
Vergi followed in her parents’ footsteps as a leader in the oil and gas industry, and Michael soon joined her stride after serving in our military. In the late 1980s, after Congress began drafting the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act, the family recognized a need for efficient compliance policy assistance. As a result, Pipeline Testing Consortium was born.
1993
Pipeline Operators needed a way to monitor the drug and alcohol testing programs for their contractors and reached out to PTC for assistance. Thus, National Compliance Management Service was born. After all these years, NCMS is still considered to be the premiere contractor monitoring resource for the pipeline industry.
2001
Tired of relying on outside MRO resources, PTC hired their first in-house MRO and developed American Medical Review Officers, LLC. Now with three full-time MRO’s and a large supporting staff, AMRO quickly processes all the drug test results coming through our doors.
2018
Having developed many of the industry standards in conducting DOT previous employer verifications since 2001, PTC clients requested more from us. Criminal checks, MVR searches and employment verifications were added to our offerings when PTC Assist was born.
2024 & Beyond
Today, PTC serves over 2,000 clients nationwide, maintaining our family-owned ethos and commitment to personalized, professional service. Dedicated to diversifying our solutions and best serving our partners with the expertise to help them thrive, we consider our clients part of our family–and in continuing our traditions, we go above and beyond to support their compliance success.
