Urine Drug / Breath Alcohol Test Collections

Pipeline Testing Consortium's state-of-the-art collection facility is equipped to handle our local client's collection needs.  We are committed to insuring the best service to our clients. Our "always professional" collector's will insure urine and breath tests are done correctly and expeditiously.
 

Policy and Procedures

Implementation of a complete package of your company's Workplace-Drug Program (policy & procedure manual).  Applicant and employee acknowledgment forms are included.  
 

Supervisory Training & Employee Awareness

Drug and alcohol awareness videos are provided that meet the DOT requirements for supervisor training. These videos contain training for supervisors on physical, behavioral, speech and performance indicators of drug and alcohol misuse.
 

Random Testing Selections -- For Federal requirements as well as company policy.
 

Company Policy: Unannounced testing based on random selection can be established at 10%, 25% or 50%.  All random selections are computer generated. 
 

Federal Requirement: All employees working in a "covered" position are subject to unannounced testing based on random selection.  All random selections are computer generated. See the current random rate requirements below:

Medical Review Officer (MRO)

The MRO oversees the positive drug testing results to ensure validity of the results and to make sure that the employee's rights and confidentiality are preserved.
 

Substance Abuse Treatment

The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) provides an evaluation of an employee who tests positive for alcohol and/or drugs.  PTC coordinates the follow-up program established by the Substance Abuse Professional.  
 

Statistical Data

Quarterly statistical data reports are provided to the pipeline contractor and to the pipeline operators that each contractor works for.  
 

Compliance Audits

We handle all operator audit requests. New and existing regulations are monitored to maintain complete compliance of the DOT regulations.
 

Certified Lab Services

Drug testing laboratory services for the program is a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), formerly NIDA, certified laboratory. The lab for our program is: Clinical Reference Lab, 8433 Quivira Road, Lenexa, KS.  
 

Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)  

The employee assistance program (EAP) includes informational material for each employee, hot-line number posters, and an interactive training module (video, etc.) entitled, "Identification of Drug Abuse in the Workplace" and alcohol recognition, testing and understanding for supervisors and managers. 
 

Record Keeping

Maintenance and record keeping functions are provided.  The records are kept in our office under lock and key for confidentiality. PTC also maintains BAT and QAP records.
 

Background Checks On New Employees 

Employers hiring any applicant in a DOT covered position are required to obtain information about any alcohol and/or drug misuse from the applicant's previous employers for the previous two years.

PTC monitors new and existing regulations constantly to insure that our client's are in complete compliance with the DOT regulations. When PTC handles your drug and alcohol testing needs, you are getting the most reliable results in the industry.

 
Client/Jobsite Requirements:

PTC will also administrate workplace drug programs. We will help insure that your company meets all of the testing requirements that are imposed on your company by your clients.
